Adey has enjoyed a diverse international career as he moved between the role of entrepreneur and holding senior management positions regionally and globally at international companies like Merrill Lynch.

Prior to founding iMENA, Adey started his career as an entrepreneur and corporate executive before moving on to become an investment professional with a focus on TMT in recent years. He has provided strategic advisory projects to companies in the space of technology commercialization, market entry, deal sourcing, and structuring in Jordan, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Libya. He also served as a judge and mentor for the MIT Arab, OECD Mena 100, MSFT Imagine Cup, and the Wharton Arab business plan competitions.

Being a founder himself, Adey aims to re-imagine investments and support by venture capital firms in the MENA region for technology startups. Adey is the founding CEO of iMENA and also the co-founder of OpenSooq. He transformed the company into the leading mobile classified platform in MENA—and a household name across the region with over 2.5 billion monthly pageviews.

Adey holds a Finance andAccounting Certificate from the Wharton School of Business after graduating with cum laude honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering with minors in Math and Economics.
