Khaldoon Tabaza on The Sharing Economy Trends in KSA

The Sharing Economy has been enabled by the convergence of technological factors. Technology investor Khaldoon Tabaza believes that it is going to take some time before this highly adopted trend truly affects both Saudi Arabia and the Middle East due to structural and cultural differences in the region, and when it does it is going to create its own personal identity.

Tabaza addresses the issue by saying:  “As it evolves, the sharing economy in the MENA region is expected to grow at a faster rate compared to its early days in more developed economies”.  He continues:  “This will enable the region to effectively “leap frog” old technologies straight to new technologies, a phenomenon which has had a huge impact on emerging market telecom networks and services”  Read more of his insights on this subject in this article.
